About Saga

Saga Wilkko is an artist originally from Finland, with a lifelong passion for creativity — her family jokes she was “born with a crayon in her hand.” She studied art across three countries, including two years in the United Arab Emirates, before settling in the United States, where she found her true calling in tattooing.
Tattooing wasn’t something Saga imagined for herself as a young girl, but the discovery came almost serendipitously. While watching a tattoo reality show and talking with her husband about artistic career paths, she suddenly realized she had overlooked the perfect way to channel her creativity. From that moment, she dedicated herself to learning the craft.
Nearly a decade later, Saga specializes in fine line tattooing, illustrative blackwork, and nature-inspired designs. She now works at Pegasus Tattoo & Wellness, where tattooing is approached not just as an art form, but as a practice of healing and empowerment. Saga is passionate about trauma-informed tattooing, helping clients reclaim their bodies, build confidence, and carry their stories in the form of art.
Beyond tattooing, Saga is a neurodivergent mom of two who embraces the challenge of balancing family, business, and creativity. Before her apprenticeship, she worked as a server and barista — and still enjoys making the perfect latte or baking when time allows.
For Saga, tattooing is more than just ink on skin — it is a way to connect, to transform inspiration into something lasting, and to create art that empowers her clients to move forward in their lives.
